Walk the walk?

People say values are caught, not taught. But is that always true?

I agree. We raised 3 kids and tried to lead by example: Mass every Sunday, Christian Service, scouting, family dinners, supporting schoolwork and extracurricular. Yet, our 25 year old chose to walk away from any religious affiliation and marry outside the Church. Our 24 year old became a Baptist. Our 21 year old is a faithful Catholic who attends Mass regularly and observes Lent. Go figure! We love them all. Blessed Mother Mary prompted me to pray the rosary every day for my children, so I do.

This must be one of the most difficult times in the history of humanity to be a parent. Thank you for all you do Dr. Ray.

    “Prayer for the Lost Lambs”
Lord Jesus, we pray for all the sheep that are lost, but our hearts go out especially to the lost lambs. Have mercy on those wolves who steal, exploit, and sometimes kill the lambs of the Father’s flock; help them to see the horror of what they are doing. Comfort the grieving parents who in many cases don’t even have consolation of a burial service. In your merciful love, grant that those lambs, though lost here, may be found hereafter. Watch over those who are still straying below. Guide them along paths that are safe. Send shepherds to look for them. Amen.
