Repressed Memory Syndrome

Repressed Memory Syndrome  is when a therapy patient suddenly recovers a false memory — usually that he or she was abused in the past. This was a common occurrence 20 or 30 years ago. Therapists have to be very careful not to subtly plant these ideas into the minds of their patients.

Child Therapy

Child therapy is usually not the most effective way to deal with difficult parenting situations. Therapy with the parents can be more beneficial because they are in the best position to make the changes that will result in overall improvements.
